Lyophilized Exosomes from Plasma, Urine and Colon carcinoma Cell Line
Product Overview: Lyophilization is an ideal method for long-term storage of exosomes. It is proved to be stable upon a long-term storage at 4ºC and suitable as reference samples for multiple applications (FACS, WB, ELISA) and as calibration standards for quantitative comparison of different biological samples.
Moreover, lyophilized standards are easy to store, ship, and give excellent results with our a platform for proteomic analysis. Exosomes are purified from different biological sources (cell culture supernatant, human plasma, urine) with a combination of ultracentrifugation and microfiltration procedures for subsequent quantitative analysis and lyophilization.
Storage Information (lyophilized exosomes): Store at 4°C. Avoid repeated
Storage information (reconstituted product): Stored at -20°C for up to one month or at -80°C for up to 12 months. Strictly avoid repeated freeze-and-thaw cycles
Applications :
- Exosome quantification
- RNA and Proteins profiling
- RNA Extraction
Cell Line Gene Modification
Cell line gene modification is a versatile genetic tool for studying gene function, designing diseases models, biopharmaceutical research, drug discovery and many other applications.
Gene targeting is primarily performed in embryonic stem (ES) cells for the purpose of generating knock-out mice. However, targeted gene modification in cultured cell lines can be a considerably easier and more rapid approach of creating valuable research models. Customized gene-targeted mammalian cell lines are a cheap and convenient model system that can be used for many applications in research and drug discovery, including gene function studies and high-throughput screening.
With strong expertise in genetic modification, gene targeting and cell culture, Targatt can help you to make your customized gene modified cell line. We specialized in both adherent and suspension cell culture. We have many traditional mammalian cell lines in stock and we can also adapt our established targeting techniques to less commonly used cell lines. With a great variety of tools for cell line gene modification in place we have successfully generated gene-targeted clonal lines even from hard-to-transfect cells.
Available Gene Modification Strategies (selected):
- Knock-in/knock-out
- Gene replacement
- Gene editing
- Gene therapy
- Mutagenesis
Each project is individually devised and realized. Our service includes an initial project assessment based on your model requirements. A dedicated PhD level project manager will discuss available gene targeting methods, vector design strategies and special culture requirements with you. After targeting we will clonally expand and cryopreserve several stable transgenic cell lines. Upon request we can expand the clones further on a large scale for high-throughput assays.
Applications (selected)
- - Recombinant protein production in CHO cells
- - Disease model in human cell lines for drug discovery
- - Gene therapy in diseased cell line
- - Generation of a specific cell line with TARGATT docking site as a master cell line for site-specific gene knock-in reporter cell line for gene function studies
Targatt also offers additional services wtihin our cell line models line including TARGATT Gene Insertion.
Cell Culture Becomes an Integral Part of Cell Line Development and Engineering
Further research conducted for the annual 2013 Cell Line Development & Engineering conference in Vienna next February, showed major developments in cell culture systems have given biotech's and pharmaceutical companies more flexibility to scale up cells to a high manufacturing quality. The production of high-performing cell lines have been enabled by cell engineering tools and this has only been possible through improvements in cell culture media.
For best accommodation of these new developments, Informa Life Sciences' have expanded the programme to cover the latest in cell line development strategies and improvements in cell culture systems. Alison Porter, Head of Cell Line Development in the Mammalian Cell Culture group at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies (FFDB) clarifies how "For first in human studies with cell line construction on the critical path, it is vital to have optimised the early stages of cell line development. This can improve the future success of a biotherapeutic, both in terms of having the 'best' cell line and meeting increasingly tight timelines."
Further feedback from over 50 industry professionals and academics also highlight additional trends such as high throughput screening of cell lines, Quality by Design applications, cell line development strategies for novel products, analytical tools for product evaluation and bioinformatics applications.
Informa's annual 2013 Cell Line Development & Engineering conference has been designed to address topics essential to improve product development and quality. Susanna Benaim Conference Producer at Informa Life Sciences explains "The event uncovers the essentials in micro-scale system application, CHO genome sequencing, cell line engineering and targeted integration. The conference brings together leading experts from protein engineering, cell biology, cell line development and bioprocess, from both the pharmaceutical industry and academia. Any company specialising in this area is encouraged not to miss out."
